MY KPW Tagging- giving credit where credit is due
As a wedding planner and floral and event designer, we love to submit our images to magazines and other online wedding resources so brides can see our work first hand. Unfortunately, more often than not, photographers are usually the only people who get credit for the images that we submit. I would love to give credit to the photographer, and they should all be credited properly, however, brides want to know who made the items in each of the images sometimes more than who took the picture itself. Quite a sticky situation as we want to be published but we don't always get proof that the images are actually from our studio.... so I came up with a completely positive solution that has become one of the most exciting aspects of MY KPW... tagging. Here's how it works:
Every time a vendor uploads media- not just photos- they can upload photos, video, and audio files.... they have to tag specific pieces of information. MY KPW will recognize the vendor uploading and automatically tag their information. If it's a photographer, they'll be tagged, if it's a florist, they'll be tagged. In addition, if there are other vendors involved with the uploaded media and they're members of the MY KPW family, each vendor has the ability to also tag their information. So everyone gets credit for each piece of media AND their tags are linked to their individual directories so you can learn more about each vendor. In addition, a vendor has to tag the media by color, season, and style. These will also be live tags that direct brides to individual galleries containing like types of media. To take it to the next level of search-ability, vendors are also able to tag their expert advice, blog posts, featured weddings and inspiration boards. With all of this information, MY KPW will have an extremely extensive and organized searchable database of information that is state and overall wedding budget specific all based on the tags each vendor lists.
Pretty cool, right?
Until our next chat...
